Dalton is passionate about composing and arranging, bringing his personal touch to classic standards, film and video game music and also writing originals. His most recent big band arrangement is “My Funny Valentine” for the UK Jazz Ensemble. He also plans to attend the 2024 Midwest Clinic to perform original composition “Epilogue” written by Dalton Stanland and his friend Clifton Grady with the UK Jazz Ensemble. In recent years, Dalton has also focused on original compositions. He is set to be invited back to UK as a guest composer and his piece “Desiderium,” written for the UK Wind Symphony, to be performed. His composition “Pogo” was showcased at the 2023 Jazz Education Network (JEN) conference. As Dalton pursues a career in Jazz performance and composition, he remains committed to developing his craft and contributing to the music community.
